How we work

How content on this site is researched, written, reviewed, and kept current, and who is accountable for it. We publish named, sourced, independent guidance, and we correct errors openly.

Who writes our content

Every article on this site is written and stood behind by a named person. Our content is produced by the firm's two co-founders, Morten Andersen and Fredrik Filipsson, both co-founders and principal advisors at MultiCloud Optimization. Each article carries a visible byline that links to the author's profile, and an author entry in its structured data. We do not publish anonymous or ghost-written content.

How we research and write

Our guidance is drawn from hands-on buyer-side engagements across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and OCI, and from primary sources: provider pricing and documentation, billing and usage data, and contracts we have reviewed. Figures presented as client outcomes are anonymized and verified against billing data. Where a claim depends on a provider's current pricing or terms, we link to the primary source so you can check it yourself.

Review and accuracy

Before publication, each article is reviewed by the co-founder who did not draft it, for technical accuracy, balance, and clarity. We correct errors promptly. If you spot a mistake, send a correction request (see below) and we will review it, fix what is wrong, and note material corrections on the page.

Independence and disclosure

MultiCloud Optimization is an independent, buyer-side advisory. We take zero commissions, rebates, or kickbacks from any cloud provider, and we are not a reseller or a provider partner. Our advice answers only to the client. We do not run sponsored posts or affiliate links in our editorial content; if that ever changes, we will label such content clearly and conspicuously.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and editing. All content is directed, fact-checked, and approved by a named human author before it is published, and that author is accountable for it. AI is never the final authority on a factual claim or a recommendation.

Dates and freshness

Each article shows a published date, and carries a last-updated date in its structured data reflecting the most recent substantive review. We refresh or retire content as provider pricing, products, and terms change.

Corrections policy

To request a correction, contact us through our contact form with the page URL and the specific claim in question. We aim to respond within five business days. Material corrections are made on the page and the last-updated date is revised.
